We review it, then email you a secure Fortis payment link with the final total. Nothing is charged until you pay that link, and we never ask for card numbers by email or text.

Paying by card, you pay the full total on our secure Fortis payment form when you place your order, and we hold your items for you. We then check your order and paperwork before anything ships or is handed over. If checkout can't finish your total online, or it is over the limit for one card payment, checkout says so: you send the order for review, and we email you a secure payment link. Orders picked up in our store in Powell can be paid in the store instead. We never ask for card numbers by email or text.

No. Every firearm goes through a licensed dealer, and checkout asks you to choose one. Name your own FFL dealer in the state you live in, and we ship it there for your transfer; ask them to email a signed copy of their license to info@pathfinderdefensellc.com, since we need it before we ship. For a suppressor, short-barreled rifle or shotgun, or AOW, your dealer also needs a current SOT (Special Occupational Tax) and must email us proof of it too. Or choose us as your dealer and pick it up here in Powell with a Form 4473 and background check. Pickup here is for Wyoming residents, and for non-residents buying standard rifles or shotguns (not short-barreled ones) where their home state allows it.

In most states, much the same way as a handgun. Under ATF's policy announced October 9, 2026, ATF no longer requires a Form 4, fingerprints, photos, or NFA registration for these items, so in most states there is no wait for ATF approval. You must be 21 or older. At checkout, choose a dealer in the state you live in with an FFL and a current SOT (Special Occupational Tax), and we ship it there for your transfer on a Form 4473, or, if you live in Wyoming, pick it up here in Powell on a Form 4473 with a background check. State and local laws still apply, and we can't sell these items where your state doesn't allow them. Some states' laws tie these items to ATF registration. If you live in one, to be safe the item goes to your dealer on a tax-free ATF Form 3 first and ships once ATF approves it. Then it is registered to you on an ATF Form 4 through your dealer, which needs your fingerprints and a photo, and you take it home once ATF approves that. Each item's page lists those states. Before you take a short-barreled rifle or shotgun to another state, ATF still asks you to file a Form 20. Machine guns and destructive devices still go through the full NFA process. We can't sell suppressors to residents of California, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington, D.C. We can't ship ammunition to Alaska, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington, D.C. Some items have other state limits, and checkout tells you if an item can't go to your state.

We ship FedEx, and checkout shows the charge for your address from our FedEx account rates. Handguns and AOWs ship FedEx 2Day. Rifles, shotguns, receivers and frames, suppressors, and short-barreled rifles and shotguns ship FedEx Ground. Every firearm we ship, suppressors included, needs a signature at the receiving dealer. Ammunition we ship from Powell needs an adult signature. Other items ship FedEx to you. FedEx can't deliver to a PO box, so please use a street address. Some items ship straight from our distributor instead, in their own box; checkout says so and shows their shipping. If an item's shipping can't be worked out online, checkout says so and we add it to your payment link after we review your order, so you see the full total before you pay. Only on orders that stay in Wyoming. Wyoming taxes a sale where you take it: pickup here in Powell is taxed at the Park County rate, and a shipment to a Wyoming address or Wyoming dealer is taxed at that county's rate. Checkout works out the county from the address. We don't charge Wyoming sales tax on orders shipped to other states, and shipping is not taxed. Your own state may expect you to pay use tax.

Only on credit cards. Our payment page adds a 3% surcharge to credit cards. No surcharge on debit cards, or where state law doesn't allow it. Orders you pick up in our store in Powell can be paid in the store with cash, a check, or a debit card, with no surcharge. Checkout asks how you will pay.

Yes. Before you pay, reply to your order email or call Adam at 307-921-0038, and we will change or cancel it. If you have already paid, call us and we will work it out.

If we can't complete your order because of where you live, your dealer, or your background check or NFA paperwork, or if you cancel it, we refund what you paid minus a 20% restocking fee on the item prices (and the shipping, if it already shipped). If your order can't be completed because the item isn't legal for you where you live, your FFL or SOT dealer won't accept it, your background check or NFA paperwork is denied, or you cancel it, we refund what you paid minus a 20% restocking fee on the item prices, and any shipping already spent. LE/MIL items marked quote only aren't sold through the cart. Send the quote request on the LE/MIL store page, then email your purchase order or a letter on agency letterhead. Items there with a price can be ordered online like the rest of the store.
